AIB Gallery: "Where is My Vote? Posters for the Green Movement in Iran"

Not a lot of design involvement by me here. A traveling show from SVA, all design elements had already been worked out. I adapted their very large poster (with perforations around the individual thumbnails!) to a large postcard. I had a lot of mixed feelings about this show. Was excited when I thought it was going to be posters by Iranian designers. Disappointed when I found out they were designs submitted by mostly Western designers (and a lot of the usual subjects). I had the chance to ask two submitters what they thought of the show. Chaz Maviyane-Davies and the design team of Joe Scorsone and Alice Drueding were speaking at MassArt on the same day as the AIB opening. I asked who the audience was for this work. Chaz had then only acceptable answer: that this was a solidarity show. Still not sure that justifies an exhibition.
